Happy spring everyone! I thought I’d take a quick moment to reach out and check in with you before I turn off my lights for the night.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes here, and it’s all good stuff! Though we’ve still hit a huge stall on Destiny’s story—I promise it’s coming sooner than later—I’m returning to some old friends that we haven’t seen on the blog in a long time. Remember Danae and Andy, my power couple from Generation Five? Of course you do! I’m writing a chapter for them that should make it onto the blog by mid-May, assuming there are no more medical emergencies in the family from now until then
I started this chapter two years ago in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian in Florida, but shelved it in favor of Destiny’s storyline. But, while I’m waiting to get Chapter Nine, Generation Two back from Chris, I thought I’d visit Isla Paradiso. It’s been almost two years since Andy won the fight against his longtime rival and estranged brother-in-law, Devin Jones. This next part of the story takes place two years after chapter forty-one, with the celebration of Elyse’s “Sweet Sixteen” birthday party. No spoilers with this chapter! You’ll just need to wait on this one. #SorryNotSorry!
If you’d like to see how things have been going for me lately, I’ll invite you to check in at Random Thoughts, Purposeful Life. I write a lot more over there than I have here lately, but there’s a good reason for that, too. That one is nine years old this year, and it’s finally getting the attention I should have poured into it years ago. That doesn’t mean I’m abandoning this. No, quite the opposite, in fact. I’m gearing up to do some cleaning up on earlier generations, though I won’t stop writing my current generation to complete this task. It’s more background work, but expect someday that you’ll see some updated chapters and a whole new page for Generation Three.
Destiny will return soon because her story is getting good, and I’m excited about where it’s going. Danae and Andy will return for a one-chapter refresher, and Bella and Rogelio will see some much needed updates soon. For the record, I won’t be changing the plot of Generation Three, because I think the storyline was good in its concept. The execution of that concept, however, was lazy and undone. I’m going to fix that once and for all. As always, I appreciate your unending patience. If you don’t already follow, please do so you’ll never miss another episode of the Farmer Legacy.
Thank you so much for caring enough to come and read what I have to say. More than anything, it’s the most humbling thing I’ve ever experienced.
Stay tuned!
